We sat down with EVIE to talk about the evolution of her sound, the moments shaping her journey and the mindset behind her sets. From early influences rooted in UK radio culture to standout performances on underground dance floors, her approach is clear: create movement, read the room and take people somewhere unexpected.

Your sound blends house, UKG and deep tech — how did that signature style develop?

I’ve been listening to house and garage for pretty much my whole life. I remember being in the car as a kid, vibing to tunes on the radio, so those sounds have always been around me. Some of my early influences were artists like Jamie Jones, Jeremy Sylvester and Hot Since 82. Over the years, I’ve naturally picked up elements from their styles and reworked them into my own tracks with my own twist. I think that balance of inspiration and individuality has really helped me shape my own sound as an artist.

Your recent release White Noise Dub has been getting strong support. What was the idea behind the record?

I’ve always loved the original — it takes me straight back to my early days getting into house, blasting it in the car as a teenager on the way to work. It’s one of those tracks that carries real nostalgia for me. With White Noise Dub, I wanted to keep that essence but give it a deeper, more refined twist that reflects where I am now. It’s one of those moments that really makes me realise how far I’ve come since first connecting with that sound.

You’ve played some big underground events recently — which crowd or moment stood out the most?

It has to be the recent b2b with the Di Chiara brothers at Eastenderz — that was mental. I’ve never had a reaction like that from the very first track. It honestly felt like the crowd had been waiting for us. There was so much chemistry between us during the set, and the energy from the crowd was unreal. I’ve never had that much hype after a set either — the amount of messages, tags and videos afterwards was crazy. Hopefully we get to do it again soon because I absolutely loved it.

What’s something about your DJ sets that people might not realise when they see you play?

When I DJ, I always want to take people on a journey. I’ll play something they know, then something they don’t, then maybe bring in an old classic or a track they’d completely forgotten about. For me, it’s all about keeping the crowd engaged, throwing in a few curveballs and making sure people are enjoying every part of the set. I always make sure my USB is stacked so I’m ready for any kind of occasion.

What can we expect next from you in 2026 — new music, collaborations or a label project?

There are some really exciting things happening in 2026. I can’t say too much just

yet, but there are definitely some big milestones coming up for me and my label, 3Sixteen. I’ll also be playing in some new places I’ve never DJed before, and there are some big goals ahead for me and the WYLD crew too. It’s shaping up to be my biggest and best year to date.

With momentum building and key milestones ahead, EVIE is stepping into 2026 with a clear vision. New music, new cities and the continued growth of her label 3Sixteen and WYLD crew all point in one direction — forward.
