Ahead of two huge Ibiza shows at Café Mambo and O Beach Ibiza, we caught up with Healy and Romer to talk about Ritual LDN the evolution of London nightlife, creating escapism through music, and why connection still matters more than ever on the dancefloor.
Nearly ten years after launching Ritual in London, the pair reflect on the energy that shaped the brand, the importance of atmosphere and production, and what makes Ibiza and London summers continue to inspire them year after year.
Join Healy, Romer and the rest of the ritual crew on Wednesday 6th May for their Cafe Mambo takeover. Then continue the Ritual Ibiza experience at O Beach on Thursday 7th May. Get tickets for O Beach here

Ritual began in 2016 in London with the idea of bringing something different to the city’s nightlife scene. What inspired you to create Ritual as a space where people could escape the “concrete jungle” of London without actually leaving it?
Healy:
London can be intense everyone’s working hard, moving fast, always connected, so Ritual was really born from wanting to create an escape within the city itself.
Back in 2016, a lot of parties felt very dark and serious, and we wanted to bring something more uplifting and immersive. Daytime energy, strong music, great people, production that transports you somewhere else for a few hours.
The idea was always that you could walk into a Ritual event in London and mentally feel like you’d left the city behind. It’s crazy to think that 2026 is our ten year anniversary.
Romer:
What stood out to me about Ritual from the start was the atmosphere. It never felt overly pretentious. It was about connection, energy, and creating moments people actually remember.
London can sometimes feel a bit disconnected socially, so having a space where people could properly let go in the daytime felt refreshing. That balance between quality music, good people, and escapism is what’s kept it growing over the years.
You’ll both be playing together at Café Mambo, with Healy also performing at O Beach Ibiza the following day. How does it feel to be part of two very different yet equally iconic venues in the same weekend, and how does your approach differ for each setting?
Healy:
It’s special because both venues are such huge parts of Ibiza culture, but in completely different ways.
Café Mambo is all about the soundtrack to the sunset. Emotion, atmosphere, those moments where the whole place locks into the music together.
O Beach is higher energy and more performance driven, so you can push things in a different direction. Having both in one weekend lets you show two sides creatively, which I love. Plus, the lineups for both nights are epic, we’ve got some really talented DJs and I’m buzzing to listen to everyone’s sets.
Ibiza this year feels massive as well, the lineups across the island are crazy. To be part of that energy again with all our crew flying out is exciting.

Romer:
Mambo has this timeless feeling to it. You don’t overplay there. It’s about reading the crowd and building emotion naturally as the sun sets.
Then somewhere like O Beach is full impact from the start, so the set can be a lot more upfront and energetic. That contrast is what makes Ibiza so unique as a DJ.
You can play completely different styles and still have both experiences feel authentic.
You’ve said that one of Ritual’s hallmarks is going big on production, while still creating parties that feel warm and welcoming wherever they are held. How do you decide what goes into the production of an event, and why is that such an important part of the experience for you?
Healy:
For us, production has never just been about making things look impressive. It’s about creating a feeling. Lighting, visuals, décor, sound, even the flow of the venue all affect how people experience the music.
We always want Ritual to feel immersive but still human and welcoming. Some events can feel visually amazing but emotionally cold, and we’ve always tried to avoid that. The goal is for people to walk in and instantly feel part of something.
Romer:
Attention to detail is everything. People remember how a party made them feel more than any individual track that got played. The production helps create that emotional connection and gives the event its own identity.
Ritual’s always been strong at making big spaces still feel intimate, and I think that balance is a huge reason why people keep coming back.

What are you most looking forward to during this year’s Ibiza and London summer seasons?
Healy:
This summer feels really exciting because there’s such a strong energy around both Ibiza and London again.
Ibiza’s lineup this year is probably one of the strongest in recent memory, and there’s a real mix of established names and fresh artists pushing things forward.
For us personally, celebrating 10 years of Ritual while returning to places like Café Mambo adn O Beach makes it feel full circle.
We’ve got some big moments planned this summer, and I think the atmosphere everywhere is going to be amazing.
I just wish we could’ve stayed an extra day and caught Franky’s residency. He’s having a ridiculous year, which is so well deserved as he’s been knocking out bangers for a long, long time.
Romer:
I think people are really craving genuine experiences again. Good music, good energy, proper connection, and that’s what makes summers like this special.
London and Ibiza always influence each other musically, so it’s exciting seeing that crossover happening again.
We’re just looking forward to being part of it and creating some unforgettable moments along the way.
For me personally, I love Afro house, so I’m super excited to see Shimza and co tear it up at Pacha.
