Ready to join Sensazione Stupenda in Palermo for Estate Stupenda, as part of Extended London, Finn and Nas speak to us on the co-founding of Extended London, their love for the underground scene and their journeys coming up into the music industry.

Q – You’re both going to be performing at Sensazion Stupenda’s event, Estate Stupenda, as part of Extended London. Are you excited to be playing outdoors on the beach in collaboration with them? If so, which part of performing in these types of settings do you enjoy the most?

Finn: The thing I love most about playing these types of gigs is that it allows me to play a different kind of music than what I would play in a dark club. It’s always nice to explore different areas of my sound.

Nas: Absolutely, I’m really excited to be playing at Estate Stupenda and to be collaborating with Sensazion Stupenda alongside Extended London. We’re thrilled to be part of this event and especially excited to be performing on the beach.

There’s something very special about playing music in an outdoor setting by the sea. The atmosphere, the energy of the crowd, and the natural surroundings create a completely different experience compared to a club environment. I love seeing people connect with the music while enjoying such a beautiful location.

We’re really looking forward to sharing our music, bringing our sound to a new setting, and creating a memorable experience for everyone attending. We can’t wait for it.

Q – Extended London was co-founded by you, Nas. Could you both tell us a bit more about the journey of Extended London and how this came to be? What was your main vision for Extended, and does this still stand today?

Finn: I’ve been to pretty much every Extended event, either partying or playing. I really love the community vibe they have; everybody supports everybody. And, once again, it really gives me creative freedom when I step into the booth.

Nas: I’m Nas, co-founder of Extended London. The journey really started from our passion for music, parties, raves, and the underground culture. I’ve been a part of the scene in London for more than 10 years, and together with my best friend Angelo, we’ve experienced almost every type of event and underground party the city has to offer.

As a DJ, music was always at the centre of my life, and Angelo and I were also flatmates for a long time. After many nights playing and hosting after-parties in our garden, we looked at each other one day and said, “Why don’t we start our own thing?”

That was the beginning of Extended London. Our vision was to create something authentic that represented the culture we love, bringing together music, people, creativity and community in unique spaces. That vision absolutely still stands today. We continue to focus on creating genuine experiences and supporting the underground scene that inspired us from the start.

Q – You both focus on the underground scene. What is it about this particular part of the culture that draws you in?

Finn: The underground scene is what made me the artist I am today, and PARAVIBE has been the platform for this. It has allowed me to step away from the norm and focus on social media. Some of my favourite sets have been in a forest or a warehouse, with the sound system rattling the roof, and everybody just forgetting what reality is until the next afternoon. It’s a vibe that's hard to recreate in a club.

Nas: What I love most about the underground scene is the freedom of expression and the diversity it offers. Every event, club and location has its own identity and energy. There are fewer limitations, more creativity, and a stronger sense of community.

The underground scene allows artists and promoters to take risks and create something unique. It’s about discovering new music, new people and new experiences. That’s what keeps it exciting for me and why I’ve always felt connected to it.

Q – Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into the zone before a set?

Finn: I always like to know I have new music and an understanding of what the DJ before me is playing to keep the night's flow going. Other than that, a shot of tequila is a must.

Nas: Yes, definitely. Food is a big part of my life because I’m also a chef, so I always make sure I’m feeling good and have eaten properly before a set. Cooking and music are two passions that have always gone hand in hand for me.

I like to stay relaxed, listen to music, and select and produce too. Organise my thoughts and focus on the energy I want to bring to the crowd. Keeping a calm mindset helps me connect better with the music and the people on the dancefloor.

Q – Did you always know you wanted to go into the music scene? We’d love to know more about your musical backgrounds and your inspirations for the music you produce today.

Finn: I’ve been DJing since I discovered dance music at 16. I wasn’t always underground, but once I discovered it, I couldn’t go back. My inspirations today are from all over Europe and the UK. I always try to play and make something a little different, something that makes people feel, and can take them on a journey through sound.

Nas: Yes, I always felt like I belonged in music. I’ve been surrounded by it since I was a teenager. I started going out, discovering clubs and experiencing different sounds from a young age, not only in London but also in Italy, where I spent a lot of time exploring the music scene.

Those experiences shaped my taste and inspired me to become a DJ and eventually start producing and curating events. My inspiration comes from the people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, and the energy of the dancefloor. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and it’s something that continues to motivate me every day.
